We believe good food starts with how the animals are raised. On our farm in Pleasantville, Iowa, our hogs and chickens enjoy fresh air and sunshine, with room to move, root, scratch, and simply live in a natural outdoor environment.
As a small farm, we raise food for people who want to know where their meat comes from and how it was raised. From farrow to finish, we’re hands‑on every step of the way — ensuring healthy animals, responsible stewardship, and meat you can trust.
From our farm to your table, we provide locally raised meat you can feel good about feeding your family. Good food begins with good farming, and we’re proud to share both with you.
Our heritage Red Wattle and Red Wattle‑cross hogs are raised outdoors in the Iowa countryside, where they have the freedom to root, roam, build wallows, and simply be pigs. Heritage breeds are known for exceptional flavor, rich marbling, and the deep, traditional pork taste customers love.
We operate a true farrow‑to‑finish system, allowing us to raise our pigs from birth all the way to processing. This hands‑on approach helps us provide consistent quality, healthy animals, and full traceability. Our hogs are fed a balanced commercial feed, receive no unnecessary vaccines, and are never given growth hormones.
Red Wattles are known for their slower growth and excellent meat quality. Their signature deep‑red color and beautiful marbling contribute to rich, flavorful pork. With bold flavor and clean, silky fat, Red Wattle pork is a flavorful choice for your table.

Our chickens spend their days outdoors with access to fresh air, sunshine, grass, and plenty of room to move. Raised in small batches, they’re moved frequently to fresh pasture, giving them a clean, natural environment where they can thrive.
This outdoor lifestyle produces flavorful chicken you can feel good about feeding your family.

We often get asked if we have beef available for sale. While we don’t currently offer beef by the cut, we do raise a small number of beef cattle each year and make them available as quarters, halves, and whole beef. This gives our customers the opportunity to purchase high-quality, locally raised beef directly from the farm.
We are not a cow‑calf operation, so we purchase the calves we raise for beef. Our current group was started as bottle calves and will be ready for processing later this year.
Our beef cattle begin their lives at our home farm and are then moved to pasture in Carlisle, where they enjoy lush grass, timber for shade, and a pond-everything they need to live their best life. They receive small amounts of grain as they grow and are finished on grain from our local feed mill. We do not implant our beef cattle with any type of hormones.
Quality Beef. Locally grown. Great Flavor.
Our laying hens spend their days outdoors where they can scratch, peck, forage, and enjoy fresh air and sunshine.
